Unsoed is located in Purwokerto, the capital of Banyumas Regency at Central Java Province. This city is  ± 350 km to the east of Jakarta  and ± 180 km to the west of Yogyakarta.  It can be reached by train, bus or private vehicles and plane from Jakarta.  Geographically, Purwokerto is located in south side of Mt. Slamet (3314 m) with a mild temperature (28 – 30 °C), clean atmosphere, far from traffic jam, safe, and comfortable for research and study activities.
